Corporate Social Responsibility
Whilst Redwood is a small business, dedicated to helping people protect their wealth for future generations, we are as equally committed to helping to protect the planet for our future generations too. We constantly look for every opportunity, big or small, to make a difference. We are also keen to help those who are less fortunate and those who lack the knowledge to manage their finances as effectively as they would wish.
The Redwood Foundation
The Redwood Foundation is a not-for-profit group headed by members of the Redwood Management Team and some of their Clients, with the purpose of providing:
- Financial Assistance Grants to those unable to afford basic Estate Planning
- Support for projects that help preserve our planet for our future generations
- Financial education to young and disadvantaged families to close the UK wealth gap
Removing Plastic Pens
Conscious of the number of plastic pens we used at our seminars and in our meeting rooms, we now use pencils produced from recycled compact disc cases.
It is a small step, but one that will help towards fixing the serious issue of microplastics within the world’s oceans. As further studies explore the extent of damage human plastic refuse has had on marine life, more and more articles in scientific and academic journals are being published documenting the ways ocean life is increasingly shaped by humans. Click here to read a recent study finding microplastics present in the diets of all species of sea turtles.
Join the revolution and convince everyone you can to switch to ecologically sound stationery.
World Land Trust
We are migrating all of our printed media and stationery to products that support The World Land Trust’s Carbon Balanced Paper initiative. The World Land Trust uses the funds raised through the Carbon Balanced Paper Funds initiative to tackle climate change through projects that both offset carbon dioxide (CO2) emissions and conserve biodiversity. By protecting ecologically important forests under imminent threat of destruction and degradation, they allow these forests to continue to absorb more carbon from the atmosphere. This is now recognised as one of the most cost-effective and fastest ways to arrest the rise in atmospheric CO2 and climate change.

The Redwood Foundation
To date, we have raised over £53,000 for local and national charities. All our charitable efforts are now brought together through the launch of The Redwood Charitable Foundation in 2018. To find out more about the foundation, how you can get involved or to make a donation, please contact us.
