Client Update: No more FREE Initial Meetings!

They say there’s no such thing as a free lunch, and yet it is a tradition in our profession to always offer a Free Initial Meeting.

As you know, at Redwood, we always like to be innovative and question the best way to do things for our Clients.

This is why from 1st July 2019 we took the important decision to no longer offer Free Initial Meetings and instead start charging £90 including VAT.

Why have we done this?

Firstly, when someone offers you a Free Initial Meeting, that Adviser only has one way of making that meeting profitable – they must now sell to you.  Your Initial Meeting becomes a sales pitch, with an Advisor trying to sell their services and products on to you.

As an award-winning and professional firm, our Initial Meetings are about providing you with bespoke advice, allowing us to review your existing planning, finding out what is actually important to you and giving you professional advice, even if that means telling you, you don’t need our help!

Secondly, we have a responsibility to all of our valued existing Clients to make sure that our resources do not become overstretched and that we are able to continue to deliver fantastic service to you all; which includes having enough capacity in our diary to accommodate all of our existing Clients meeting needs, before filling up our diary with new prospective Client Meetings.

The exception to the rule…

Our firm has been built on Client recommendations, allowing us to work with friends and family members of our delighted Clients, which we love doing.  We know that when you find an Adviser who you love working with, you want all your friends and family to benefit from the same advice and service as well.

This means that as existing valued Clients, when you recommend a friend or family member to attend one of our Seminars or to have an Initial Meeting, they will benefit from a 100% friends and family discount and will not be charged the £90 Initial Meeting Fee.

How does all this benefit you?

  1. Our resources don’t become overstretched looking after too many new Clients
  2. More availability in our diary to accommodate your meeting needs first, before any new Clients
  3. Your personal friends and family members benefit from a 100% discount off the Initial Meeting Fee
